The Main Den Site

The Main Den Site

◊ ● ◊ ● ◊ ● ◊ ● ◊ ● ◊

◊ ● ◊ ● ◊ ● ◊ ● ◊ ● ◊

Near the middle of the territory is the den site. There's one large burrow in the main part of the area then there's four smaller burrows that surround the main one. The main den is very large with a entry that three adult wolves could enter at the same time. The main den is made up of a few large rocks and a large tunnel that leads to the four chambers underground. The burrows are just simply dug into the ground with one little chamber.

Frost heard the howl, she wondered who was gone. But she was too busy with her paw to care. The pain was still there, but it was numb. She looked at her paw, thinking it might be infected. She tried to stand on it, just she fell back down. She yelped, but not loud enough for the others to hear, but still loud. She peered out of the burrow, and whimpered. Aurora didn't look too friendly at the moment, so Frost stayed in the burrow.

Laid down beside Frost and put her head on her paws, she was tired but feeling weak, and everything was kind of blurry. She began to drift off, her breathing light. She shut her eyes and fell asleep, her breathing slowly stopped and everything was gone... How did this happen?

Frost felt Night beside her. She cuddled into Night's fur... But something was wrong, Night was cold. Frost opened her eyes and saw that Night was not breathing. The white wolf shot up and began to shout Night's name, she screamed and nudged Night to wake up. Frost began to cry, her head resting on the black wolf's lifeless body.

Aurora stopped her howl suddenly came to a stop, hearing shouting and screaming. She leaped down from her rock and did a fast walk towards the burrow it came from. "What is it?!" Aurora said, with concern in her voice. She peered into the den and saw Night, laying there, not moving, and Frost crying atop of her. "Er, Frost, you can go in the den now..." The silver, gold and cream lead she-wolf said, her emerald orbs filled with guilt and her red markings sagging a bit. Aurora sighed, then dragged Night to the den by the scruff, she wasn't sure why, but she was.

Re: The Main Den Site

Post by Frost on Mon Jul 29, 2013 10:51 am

Frost turned to Aurora, there was only pain in Frosts eyes, no blame or anger. Now, just the pain, she wanted to block it out, it was too much for her to bear. She wanted to run, but she couldn't. She could just lay there and cry. She walked out side of the den and sat in the middle of the clearing and looked at the sky. At the storm, she howled and sat there, letting the howl fill the sky. She walked into the den and let herself fall to the ground. She laid there not crying, not screaming. She just laid there with her eyes open everything was numb she saw wolfs around but did not care she felt nothing as if someone had turned off her feelings. It was like a like a gaping hole was left. Frost laid there for what felt like hours, but it was only a few minutes. All of a sudden, Frost's feelings came flooding back, she felt the pain and the sadness wash over her. She couldnt take it, so she blocked it out and pressed her injured paw on the ground hard, until everything went numb. She didnt want to flee yet, because she had no one left, which ment nothing to fight for. Nothing to go on living for she laid there, her eyes open staring at nothing. The ground was damp and cold but she didnt care, she stayed lying there.

Ominous jumped though the bush covered enterance to the den area, and raced to the near den. She walked into the den and shook out her soaked pelt, she was panting lightly. She sat down and caught her breath, she noticed Night lying down and Frost lying there too. Ominous wasn't sure what happened or what was going on, but she noticed Night wasn't moving. The silver she-wolf lied her ears against her crown and walked towards the den exit, she sat there and looked at Aurora looking for an answer.

Chaos' tail was fanning quickly and he was smiling as Eros talked to Willow, his emerald gaze stayed on the pretty brown and tan she-wolf. Chaos stood up and inched a bit closer as he heard the female release a small giggle, then Aurora pounced down near them and told them to go in. The russet he-wolf who was just a few inches larger than the alphess, nodded to her command. Chaos bent down and grasped Eros in his large maw, following Willow into the den's shelter.

As he entered, he shook his thick pelt side to side. Then it all happened so fast, all the canid saw was Frost weeping and yelling. His gaze watched as the fluffy snowy wolf run out and then come back, he scanned the area. Finding Night lying down and not moving nor breathing, he was confused and went to Frost's side. 'What happened to her?' His thoughts swirled in his head, unsure of what caused this. Chaos lied down next to her, curving his body around hers, he placed one paw over her small body and licked her crown between her ears. The nuzzle the small canid with his rusty-copper muzzle and twisted his tail with hers.

Finally the dark grey creature arrived at the den, he didnt remembered the low enterance and bumped against it, growling he made his way into it, shook out his pelt and sat down to warm up but he noticed Night lying down, she wasnt moving. Something wasnt right, he looked arround doubtful and asked with a strong tone, "What happend?" Frost was lying there too, next to Chaos, the dark grey brute had no idea what was going on.

Aurora sat down in a space between Fenrir and Chaos with Frost. "I'm afraid Night might've died in her sleep..." Aurora said in a sigh, her head hung low. The female dominant was still dripping wet, she felt guilty for this. She slumped down onto her stomach, but bounced back up. She rose to her strangely large paws once more, and walked back out into the pouring rain, thunder and lightning. She climbed up the den again, and let out a loud, sorrowful, sad song as a mourn for the fallen pack member.

Frost laid there, she could not believe it how nor why it was her fault. She knew Night got colds easy, she should have told Aurora. Frost felt Chaos beside her. Frost stood up, she felt the feelings flood back to her, she wanted to crumble down, but she knew she had to be strong. So, she walked out to Aurora and howled with her. Then, she cleared her throat once she had finished howling. "I would like to take Night's body to the clearing." Her voice was strong fore she had to face the facts now, she had to grow up.

Aurora finished the howl, letting it echo out through the territory and beyond. She lowered her head and leaped down next to Frost. "If you wish, but could all say our last fairwells to her? It's up to you to decide, you are her sister..." Aurora said strongly, trying to hide emotion as always, but it was harder this time since a pack member had passed away.

Post by Eros on Wed Jul 31, 2013 3:33 am

Eros was enjoying his time outside underneath his fathers frame, he watched the rain fall infront of him. He was watching Willow, when Aurora jumped beside them telling them to get inside. Instantly Chaos had little Eros in his jowls grasp. Eros released small yips and barks, he wanted to go back outside. The small white pup whined lightly and sat near the den opening, when he heard the white female scream and yowl. Eros glanced his aqua gaze towards the scretching wolf, and Night who was lying on the gorund. Eros tilted his head, Night wasn't moving and Eros wasn't sure what was going on. Te young arctic-cross heard Frost crying, he was so confused with the situation. Aurora came in then back out the den, the he-wolf noticed his fthr lying beside Frost. He couldn't make any sense of the situation, hes never experienced death like all the othershave. Eros ears perked up quickly and soon filled with the sound of a bleak sad howl. His instincts took over and he howled too, it wasn't his normal up beat flowing tune, it was upset and unsure of everything. As the young canid stopped his ears fell flat, and he walked near the opening, yipping for Aurora. He wanted to speak with her, Eros did nothing more but wait for the leader.

'Another dead wolf...' Fenrir saw so much death on his way yet and it was never easy, atleast she died peaceful and without any pain. The dark grey brute showed no emotions and stayed in the den, Eros saw Night's dead body but the pups would have to learn what death is anyway. Fenrir wasnt even howling like the others, he wanted some peace for Night and sat down, unsure why she died. Fenrir couldnt help it but everytime someone died, even friend or foe, he got rage. He started growling and punched the cold floor with his paw, almost injured himself but he couldnt calm down and tried to keep some distance to the others, rage and Fenrir were two words which never end well.

Frost nodded, "You were her pack leader. All of yous knew her, you can all come and wish her fairwell. She would have wanted it." Frost nodded, she wanted to go now, to some where she didnt have to act. She went in the den and went into where Night was. She laid down beside Night's body and cried, "This just cant be real!" Frost cried herself to sleep.

Re: The Main Den Site

Post by Genesis on Wed Jul 31, 2013 5:32 pm

Genesis was laying down with her ahead gently pressed above her paws. Until, something caught her attention. There was something going on outside. The younger timber raised to her fours and trotted outside, where almost everyone seemed to be. Her eyes moved all over the place. She didn't understand what was going on, or why was everyone sad?
Gen then saw a group surrounding a still figure. The golden pup made a low whine and stumbled over to everyone. That's when her azure gaze fell onto a black she-wolf, who she remembers as Night. The pup, confused, spoke up, "Well, why doesn't Night wake up?" she asked innocently, directed to anyone in general. Genny has never seen anyone sleep through all this noise, and if she wasn't sleeping, then what?

(Not sure where everything is going on at, but I'll just act like its outside. Ignore me if I'm wrong.)

Frost woke up and perked her ears at the pup's question. She sat up, tears still in her eyes. Frost went over to the pup and spoke gently, "Night's not going to wake up, she is with the stars now." Frost's voice choked a bit, and at last she looked at the pup softly.

[lol, awkwardly come in hehee]

Vertrou pranced towards the den happily. He lifted his legs high up as he bounded towards the group. The fish sat in his mouth, dripping red coloured water. It was quite a large fish too. Vertrou was pleased he had caught this fish to share with the pack. "Fey, Fi fought fu fish." he mumbled through them. He quickly dropped the fish once he was close enough to the group and then licked at his maw. He grew a large smile across his face and looked intensely at the group.

Frost saw the wolf padding in with a big fish, he seemed happy and upbeat. 'He mush not know yet.' she thought to herself.
"Night's dead..." Frost siad, her voice as hard as ice but the tears where clear in her eyes. She sat there and let the tears roll down her snow colored face.

Post by Ominous on Thu Aug 01, 2013 3:07 pm

Ominous' ears lie flat and still, she wasn't sure what to say. She has seen many dead wolves, many her and her siblings killed. But one came to mind, Apache. She knows what it's like to loose a sibling, and Chaos did too. The longer Ominous sat there the more shhe thought of her deceased family. Ominous' flicked her gaze to Frost, "Well Frost, your sister was a great member. I hope she's happy now..." Ominous slightly choked on her words, which was odd for her. the dames voice is always sweet and flows easily. Her cerulean gaze began to become blurry as her eyes watered a bit, she shook her head and quickly ran from the others. Ominous fled from the den site, all she wanted right now was to be alone. Be alone, and speak with Apache. She dashed the way she had gone before. Back towards the high lone hill, away bfrom all creatures. Ominous didn't look back for a response, she just kept running.

Frost turned to Ominous, but saw she was gone. She had heard the pain in the female wolf's voice. Frost lowed her ears and knew she had to leave the wolf alone, she knew what it felt like. The storm was getting worse, the snow white fae ran off where the Ominous had ran to make sure she was alright.

Chaos growled loudly as his sister ran off, he stared out the den into the harsh storm. "I need to go get her..." His voice was stern, yet still smooth as usual. Suddenly Frost burst free from the shelter as well, Chaos was too concerned with his sister to chase after Frost. He ran out into the swirling storm, glancing back at the group and nodding quickly before he vanished behind a curtain of rain. His tongue lolled out, his broad paws pressing off the muddy earth. But he wasn't sure where we was going just yet, he charged throught the treeling and to the clearing.

Fenrir didnt really noticed but three of us were just gone, the enormous brute was even more growling now, he just walked from one side of the den to the other, looking at Night's dead body with an angry gaze, 'Everyone runs away... what is with Night?' his rage was growing with every second he stayed in this den, his steps were like punches and his louder getting growl echoed in the den, Fenrir was about to bring Night's body to the lake by himself but it was no good idea to speak with this growing monster.

Eros wasn't sure what was happening, everyone was acting different. Vertrou soon returned and Eros' small obsidian tipped ears pushed forwards in alert as he heard Frost say "Dead". The only time Eros has heard that was when her heard of wolves speaking of dead prey. The young arctic cross was confused, sat there staring at Night's body. Ominous, Frost, and Chaos all ran off; leaving Eros alone with the other members. He chased them to the end of the den, he whined and yipped loudly towards them. Making sure he doesn't leave the shelter of the home, her circled his area and lied down. His ears sunk low and he whined, he already missed his father and aunt. A few howls soon rung in his ears, one was Ominous, Eros shuffled up his frame into a seated position. He threw his head back and released a howl, calling them back. He soon silenced, his howl wasn't that loud. The two could not hear it through this bad weather. The young he-wolf whined once more waiting for them to return.

Pain hit Vertrou in the chest as he heard that Night had passed. He hung his head in sorrow. He had never known the wolf that well, but she was still a member of the pack.
Vertrou looked down at the large fish at his feet. As much as he wanted to eat, he felt as if he couldn't. "You guys enjoy this fish." He said with his head still hung low. Vertrou turned around and walked into the den, laid down in a chamber and stared down to the ground.
He knew what it felt like to lose a member of the pack. He had lost so many of his old pack, he was hoping it would be different here. He was hoping he could get away from this death sentence that seemed to follow him around.
Vertrou pulled his head down onto his paws. He closed his eyes, and hoped for a better, brighter day.

Aurora sighed when Frost, Ominous and Chaos ran off. "It's best we leave them be, let them sort it out." Aurora spoke loudly so everyone could hear, in den or out of den. The golden, silver and creamy she-wolf walked back into the den and laid down in the main area, opposite Night's body.

Her ears perked as the rain stopped, and the thunder slowly faded. 'Has the storm stopped?' Aurora rose back up and she walked to the den's entrance. She watched the rain fade and the droplets falls from the trees and rocks onto the still damp ground. A smile formed on her face...
